The educational content on this site is written by the team at Clear Path Intervention and grounded in the day-to-day work of leading professional interventions for families across all 50 states. We write about what we do: interventions, family preparation, treatment navigation, and the practical questions families ask us on the phone every week. We do not publish content about topics outside our experience.
Educational pages are reviewed by Brad Garraway, NCIP NCRC, founder of Clear Path Intervention. Brad is a certified intervention professional whose own path to recovery began in 2005, and who has trained in multiple intervention modalities including the Johnson Model, ARISE, Love First, and the Systemic Family approach. Review means checking that a page is accurate, that it reflects how interventions actually work, and that it does not overpromise. Pages carry a reviewed-by byline and a date.
Where evidence exists, we cite public health authorities: SAMHSA, NIDA, NIAAA, the CDC, NAMI, and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. We link to stable pages on those organizations' sites rather than to news coverage or commercial sources. Where the honest answer is that evidence is mixed or that outcomes vary by family, we say so. We do not invent statistics, and the only price you will find on this site is our own published cost range on our cost guide.
We do not use fear to sell. We do not diagnose anyone through a website. We do not publish success-rate claims we cannot stand behind. We do not accept kickbacks or referral fees from treatment centers, and that independence extends to our content: when we write about choosing a treatment center, no facility has paid to be recommended, and none ever will.
Interactive tools on this site, like our intervention readiness check, are educational aids, not diagnostic instruments. They always put safety screening first and always end with a human being: a phone call with a real interventionist.
If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or unclear, we want to know. Email brad@clearpathintervention.com with the page address and the issue. We review correction requests promptly, fix errors, and update the page's review date. Substantive corrections are noted on the page itself.
